This book tells no story. It lets what escapes speak.
These poems seek the site of a masterless word—one that passes through the body, loses itself there, and reforms differently.
Between psychoanalysis and poetry, between fall and recovery, a voice traverses the after-effects of a cure: it falls, it dreams, it rewrites itself from its own gaps.
A punctured language, post-cure, a symptomatic poetic: here, the ‘I’ fades to make room for what speaks within.
It is not a subject, but a breath; not an end, but a fringe. We read what is silent; we hear what flees.
THE THRESHOLD IS ALREADY WRITTEN
I. THIS PLACE I AM THAT FLEES ME
i wouldn’t want to be in my head
there is someone in my place
the outside traverses me when i speak
everything i say leaks through my bones
i fall asleep in the place where i fall
II. PUNCTURED LANGUAGE
i dream the sentences that eat me
the night thinks me with its teeth
someone opened their mouth in my sleep
i listen to myself by mistake
dreams breathe in my place
III. THE OTHER, WITHIN
i entered through your absence
there are two of us being alone
there is no end to this beginning
i waited for you to speak in me
silence was a memory of you
IV. SYMPTOMATIC POETIC
i bleed when i think too hard
the word sat on my throat
everything i am escapes me differently
i forgot why i speak
V. FROM ONE FRINGE TO THE OTHER
i am no longer what i heal
what i say is no longer afraid of me
post-cure
i inhabit the echo more than the cause
i stumble upon what speaks to me
THIS BODY WITHOUT SENTENCE
